There are no trams running on part of the West Midlands Metro network as a result of overhead line damage.

The operator said there are no trams between Wolverhampton Station and West Bromwich Central "until further notice" as a result of the line damage near its depot.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Our engineers are working to repair the damage as soon as possible," it said.

West Midlands Metro added that a normal service was operating between Wolverhampton and Edgbaston Village. Tickets are being accepted on buses and trains.

Tickets will be accepted on National Express 79 and 74 and buses between Colmore Row and Hagley Road and on West Midlands Railway Services between Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
