A 67-year-old biker who died in a crash in Highland Perthshire has been named as Colin Campbell from Newton, West Lothian.

The incident involving a black Ducati M1200, happened on the A827, about six miles east of Killin, near Lawers.

Mr Campbell died at the scene after his motorbike left the road and hit a wall at about 16:25 on Friday.

Police Scotland said the road was closed for about seven hours for accident investigations.

Sgt Brian McEwen said: "Our thoughts remain with Colin's family and friends at this time.

"Our investigation into the full circumstances of the incident remain ongoing.

"I'd like to thank the public for their assistance to date, including two other motorcyclists who stopped at the scene and have since spoken with officers."
