Covid boosters for older and vulnerable islanders

Older islanders and vulnerable people are being offered Covid-19 booster vaccinations this spring.
The jabs are being offered from early April until June, the States said.
Vaccination teams will visit care homes to give the vaccine to residents, as well as other people unable to attend their GP surgery.
A spokesperson for the States said the booster remained "the most effective method for protecting yourself from this potentially severe illness".
The jabs are free to eligible people living in Guernsey and Alderney.
The spring booster programme is available for:
• Adults aged 75 years and over
• Residents in a care home for older adults
• Anyone aged six months and over who is immunosuppressed (as defined in the COVID-19 chapter of the Green Book)
