Two teenagers have been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after the motorbike they were riding on crashed.

Police were called to Thornaby Road in Stockton, close to the junction with Laburnham Avenue, at about 09:20 GMT.

The rider and passenger, two males aged 18 and 17, were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to James Cook University Hospital.

Cleveland Police said inquiries were ongoing into the cause of the crash and appealed for witnesses.
